Disaster Response Components
Description: The program includes all the primary elements of a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) program. We discuss various pre-planning components, post disaster actions, program testing and program maintenance concerns. The program also provides a detailed discussion on several additional BCP issues such as external dependency BCP, interrelationships with the public authorities and terrorist response issues.
Audience: General audience that wants a discussion on all the major issues of Business Continuity Planning. Credit Union board members, presidents, risk managers, IT management and facilities managers would find this of value.
Introduction to The 1-2-3/ABC Business Continuity Planning Program for CU

Benchmarking Your Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Program
Description: Many organizations need to know how their business continuity planning program compares to others. Is their program complete, should they be doing more in the planning or are we on par with others? The program is a discussion of 16 benchmark points that any business can use to evaluate their business continuity planning program.

During the program presentation participants use a special scoring system for each of the 16 benchmark issues. When they have completed the program they total the points and know specifically how their BCP program aligns to other organizations. They will also know what area's of their BCP needs support or requires changes.
Audience: General audience. It is designed for Credit Unions that have a business continuity plan in place however, if you are looking for a discussion on full scale planning development this program will be of great value. Board members, presidents, risk managers, IT management and facilities managers would find this very beneficial.
14 Core Actions for Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Development
Description: Many organizations need to know what is needed to complete their business continuity planning program before the get started. What will it take to develop a complete program? Knowledge on the entire process helps you focus key issues first and then you can decide on when you need to develop the additional important components of a BCP. This discussion of 14 BCP Core Actions will allow you to evaluate tasks in development of a solid business continuity planning program.
Audience: General audience. It is designed for Credit Unions that are looking for a discussion on full scale planning development. Board members, presidents, risk managers, IT management and facilities managers would find this very beneficial.
Chapter Risk Management Program

Session A - Is the BCP Introduction and Training
Held in two consecutive days, two to three hours each day, meeting as a chapter or group

Session B - Follow-up and Progress Analysis
Held on one day three to four weeks after Session A, two to three hours of discussion on issues and questions ,meeting as a chapter or group

Session C - Group EOC Management and a Testing Protocol
Held on one day three to four weeks after Session B, two to three hours of discussion on EOC Management and a tabletop testing of a BCP, meeting as a chapter or group

We focus on:

  • Security
  • Business Continuity and
  • Safety

We offer this as a proactive program with defined results (a solid risk management plan) for a fixed price of $750 and we conduct these for any chapter of credit unions in a common geographical area.

We would need a commitment of 10 credit unions or more for each session

  • Each credit union would get a BCP Red Kit which is a collection disaster response tools needed to respond to disaster.
  • Free 1-2-3/ABC BCP Software
  • A cooperative analysis of risk issues
  • A cooperative analysis of security issues
  • The assumption is that they could either COOP on each other CU site for recovery or develop their own
  • The response resources would be shared for vendors, relocation, transportation, communications, restoration etc.

Most of our clients are reporting that this program can be installed in less than 20 hours of their time.

Audience: General audience. This applies to any region or county for small to medium sized CU's. Board members, presidents, risk managers, IT management and facilities managers would find this very beneficial.
