Biographical Highlights:
2000-Present - Executive Director -
- The Financial Security and
Products Association (FSPA) formerly
The National
Independent Bank Equipment & Systems
Association (NIBESA) your international resource for security
equipment, safes, vaults,
alarms, surveillance, access controls, Etc. This organization is 30 years old, and, has
over 230 company
members who are involved primarily in manufacturing, selling, installing & servicing products sold to financial
institutions. Also served as the association's president while I was with FiSource, Inc.
1998-2000 - President, Business Development Resources,
Inc. - A consulting company involved in providing marketing & training services to companies selling to financial
institutions. This company remains active as the management company for NIBESA.
1987-1998 - Senior Vice President & Principal,
FiSource, Inc., responsible for new business development and expansion of bank & credit union accounts in New
Mexico, Arizona & West Texas. This company is an independent (& member of NIBESA) that sells, installs
& services ATMS, physical & electronic security & other products sold to financial institutions.
1978-1986 - Regional Sales Manager, Diebold, Inc.
- responsible for nine (9) Mountain States & 8 Sales Representatives. Development of sales personnel and assisting
them in expanding their markets. Diebold manufactures the complete line of ATMS & bank equipment products.
Military Experience: Three (3) years with the Army
Intelligence Service assigned to the National Security Agency in the Washington DC area. Had a Top-Secret Cryptographic
Security Clearance, which at that time, was the highest available in government service.
Civic Experience: Nine (9) years on the Board of
Directors of The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce. Included an assignment as Vice President of Government
Affairs responsible for local, state & federal government committees, political action activities & lobbying.
In addition, John served on the Board of Directors of the Presbyterian Health Care Services, New Mexico's largest
private health care organization, the Neighborhood Housing Association, Employee Assistance Program and the Albuquerque
Business Associates advocacy group.
John Vrabedc has also been a member of the University of New Mexico's Speakers Bureau speaking to school and business
groups on starting a business, running a business, hiring personnel, etc. |
