Donna Tona, Certified Trauma Specialist |
Since 1983, Donna has gained extensive front-line experience (over 30,000 documented response
and training hours) helping countless people live with trauma, tragedy, and workplace challenges. Her expertise
has proven invaluable in assisting corporations and victims of many international disasters. She was co-crisis
Intervention Leader on the CUNA Mutual Insurance team following the Oklahoma City bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah
building in 1995. In 1997, Donna was asked to assist victims in the Manitoba Canada floods, and she provided trauma
and HR consultation services to a large Canadian Banking Corporation during Ice Storm 98. In 2000, she was part
of an expert Canadian and US Internet panel supporting the Crisis Intervention team attending the Walkerton E-Coli
Disaster and the FIJI Hostage Coup Situation. In 2001, Donna was invited by a US Corporation once again to debrief
clinicians and mental health therapists during the World Trade Center and Pentagon Terrorist Attacks.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Received the 1989 Solicitor General award for her outstanding contribution to crime prevention
in the province of Alberta

Responsibility for your Safety, Officer Down, CD-Rom Internet training Robbery BDA, and Dishonesty. All programs
have garnered International Awards and reviews.

Donna's adeptness for designing practical training programs, along with her vivacious delivery,

police departments at many International locations. She has shared her expertise on several syndicated news radio
talk shows and national television programs. She has been featured and/or written articles in The Canadian Center
for Emergency Preparedness Journal, Without Prejudice - Ontario Insurance Adjustors Journal, The RCMP Gazette Journal,
Credit Union Insurance Journal, Canadian HR Journal and various syndicated news articles and publications. She
has also authored many training manuals and support material. She is a member of LEVA (Law Enforcement& Emergency
