Michael Koll |
Mike Koll recently joined the RM Learning Center Faculty after retiring with
34 years of federal law enforcement experience. In 1969 he became a Secret Service agent, serving in Chicago and
Washington, DC. In 1979 he moved back to Chicago after transferring as a senior special agent with the US Labor
Department, Office of Labor Racketeering. In 1982 Mike moved to Wisconsin to work on the US Justice Department's
Organized Crime and Racketeering Strike Force in Milwaukee.
In 1996 Mike became the Resident Agent in charge of the Social Security Administration (SSA), Office of Investigations,
at Milwaukee. His office was responsible for investigations involving
- SSA employee corruption,
- SSA Program Frauds and
- Identity Theft involving the use/misuse of Social Security numbers.
Mike has a wealth of criminal investigative experience in the white collar
crime area. He also served as a federal polygraph examiner for some 12 years. Mike served as a working field agent
his entire career, in addition to his leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
Mike has been a part-time law enforcement instructor for the Milwaukee Area Technical College since 1983. He has
taught for the recruit, in-service and specialized programs. He is a Wisconsin Certified Law Enforcement Instructor.
Mike is also a member of the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET).
Mike and his wife, Mary, have three grown children and two grandchildren. They are both "retired" Emergency
Medical Technicians and First Aid and CPR instructors. They live near Madison, Wisconsin.
